Innate: Tingle
An offensive spell used on enemy heroes to make them drop whatever it was in 1 item slot them item becomes invisible for a short period of time. This is freaking deadly spell when used right as it can deny people the use of health potions or leave expensive gear behind even if the item wouldn't normally be drop able. When using it to try and kill someone time it a little before they would use their potion since it has a slight delay before it takes effect. If not trying to kill use it on them when they're leaving the shop going back to the front or leaving the front and going to shop. This will force them to go back to where they just came and if you can make them drop it near creeps they might not be able to retrieve it for a while. Of course since its random the potion drop will only happen 100% when its the only item and gear you will just have to get lucky.
Level 1: Ethereal Shield
Anti-magic potion and purification can remove the effect of this skill
Can be casted on allied units/heroes and gives them an armor bonus as well as slowing the attack speed of any enemy melee units that attack them. Useful since it can also be casted on the Fortress of Ice which will slow the creeps down without having to put a hero in danger. The Warrior Mage also shouldn't have that much trouble managing mana so he won't need train stats.
Note: Casting range is pretty long, so you can cast Ethereal Shield on a hero without getting the creeps attention.

Level 1: Aether Lance
Shoots out a blue lance that does damage to creeps in a that touch it as it travels in a straight line. It starts out with a long cooldown and fairly weak but it should still be used early on simply because its the best way for the Warrior Mage to kill until Rain of Fire. Position yourself and aim right to not only save mana, but to kill the creeps faster. Either bunch them up yourself or have your Ice Ward or an ally bunch them up for you. So essentially cast where the lance will hit the most amount of enemies.

Level 6: Fortress of Ice
Two Purifications can remove the ice fortress
Creates an Ice Ward with high health and armor that taunts enemies around it with a weak attack. Early on the Ice Ward can only has a short timed life so save for offenses to buy yourself some time. However when it gets maxed out around mid game it can hold back a huge amount of creeps, and it's very useful when it slows down a large part of the creeps movement speed when it attacks them. When they're bunched up finish them with you or your allies spells. It might seem invincible early on or on lower difficulties but it can be killed by creeps and purifications.
Note: You can target creeps yourself, to slow the movement down, useful if the fortress leak or if you just want to slow down the creeps hitting it/other heroes.

Level 10: Rain of Fire
Channelled skill
Fire rains down in a few waves dealing large initial damage with some damage over time afterwords. Rain of Fire can get a huge area so when using it make sure your doing it on a huge mob of creeps. This is quite easy because of the Fortress of Ice spell. Its similar to the Arcane Mistress ultimate expect you don't have to worry about the channeling time too much because its so short and it does damage after-wards to.
Suggested playstyle:
When you play Warrior Mage efficiently you really have to know when and where to do things, he is pretty much all about doing the right thing in the right place.
His Lance will kill most creeps, or at the least, hurt the badly, later on it will kill almost anything in a straight line, and you can recast it again after-wards.
This is a very efficient spell to remove enemies from your tank, especially on ranged, if you aim it right you can kill most ranged with a few lances, instead of using your ultimate.
His Fortress i a great help when tanking, later you can even have 2 of them, a cool thing they do is that they give a area of effect cold when they hit something, so if you manually target creeps you can max the use of this spell.
His ultimate is without a doubt one of the most deadliest in the game, huge area of effect, high damage, this can really clear lanes.
Tips:
- Getting Elven Stalking Boots is recommended and whenever you is able to, the combo boots, as running is one of the best thing you can do with warrior mage when using lance, just run to the right position, and use lance, then run back to regenerate mana.
- Use your Fortress Manually whenever you can to get a better use of it. And always use Ethereal Shield on it if and when you think it's needed.
- Use tingle as much as you can, but also try and do it smart, if a tank has to retreat from a spot, and u use tingle, chances are that they might not get that item back for a while.
- When you have your Fortress summoned, plan where and when to use Aether Lance, so you max it's damage.
- Use the -range command to make sure your Warrior Mage won't run off and try killing a creep.
