MT #: 1.90b
WC3 Patch Number: 1.24.2
Difficulty: Normal
Modes: Random
Players: 4v3 due to leavers, 1 Round
Length: About 20-30mins
One of those rare no Eb games and no SB either. My team ended up being a Weapon Smith, Arcane Mistress and me as Mentalist. In this game I demonstrate the most offense resistant and highest damage build a Mentalist can do. There is no arguing this, well you could but you would be wrong
Level 1 Seal, Level 1 Dazzle, Max Moonblade, No Aura of Sight and the rest into Train Stats. Items being studded leather, winged leather, upgrade to eleven plate, combo shoes (usually do after str ring but shoes dropped by leaver), Blood Stone Ring, Diamond Etched Ring, Ring of Victory, Blood Thirst, IronBark Leathers, Tkashi, Skull Cleaver and Uthmor's Skull Cleaver combination.
Didn't get past IronBark in the game, but that would be the build order. The Arcane Mistress was ok even pooled, but the Weapon Smith didn't know how to play. So it's probably a good thing it didn't get past to that point as a seal of deflection build is better at tanking.
For those that don't know the reason why level 1 Seal of Deflection is vital, it's to drain mana from the Mentalist so he won't be a target for 1 shot mana burns. Even if it isn't a one hit kill, a Mentalist relying on Seal of Deflection and Aura Sight will likely die within the next 2 hits after mana burn even if the Mentalist started at full health. If the Mentalist is not relying on seal and just forgets to use seal of deflection to drain mana, he just takes a lot of damage which can kill him if he has taken some damage.
The reason Dazzle is only level 1 is because high stats from train stats make the Mentalist a much more effective killer so he doesn't need Dazzle as much. The main use of Dazzle in this build is to help allies kill early game and possibly very late game in which case leveling up dazzle might be a good idea.
