Okk'thok the Warlock
The Warlock is an excellent hero to offense with.
However, he lacks the skills to help his team surviving vs creeps, other than his ultimate,
he doesn't offer much help other the little he can give with his spellbringer.
Armor Type:
Heavy
Damage Reduction:
Chaos 100%
Hero 100%
Magic 125%
Normal 100%
Pierce 100%
Siege 100%
Spells 125%
Skills:
Innate: Deflection
A 40 second spell block that protects the Warlock from offensive spells. The Warlock's very job is to piss off the enemy team and a 40 second spell block goes a long way in protecting him from enemy aggression.
Level 1: Energy Drain
A spell that drains mana from an enemy hero giving that mana to the Warlock. Use it on enemy heroes well of course to deny them of mana and also to replenish your own after using Energy Flare. When targets have spell block use this spell to trigger it then follow it up with any other offensive spells such as Silence.
Level 1: Disrupt
Channelled Skill
Steals mana from a random enemy Spell Bringer and adds mana to your own. Just use this as soon as you can there isn't any reason why you shouldn't get this ability as soon as possible. As it prevents the enemy from using as much offensive spells against you while giving you more mana to focus on your own offense or defense.
Level 6: Spellcurse
Just like the name says it silences an enemy hero preventing them from using their active abilities and they can't use any spells from the spellbringer while in the effect of Silence. Best used on heroes that rely on spell and any other active abilities. Silence lasts an incredibly long time and can make some heroes virtually useless when silenced. However Silence can't be dispelled by purification or an anti magic potion anymore.
Note: It doesn't stop Mantle of Flames or Seal of Deflection if they were activated before Silence was cast on them.
Needs to be tested for 1.88
Note: This skill affect most magic skills in the game, the list is found here:

Level 10: Energy Flare
Channelled Skill
It burns up all of the Warlock's mana and a some of the Warlock health, the amount of health burned is reduced as the ability progresses, but in return all of the creeps around him die instantly. This is the Warlock's only defensive ability that helps his own team directly and quite a dangerous one to use. Similar to Fallen One from the Holy Warrior expect your vulnerable before and after the spell is cast, but at least you don't have to worry about spell block or just one ranged attack killing you. Since it burns all your mana it's wise to have energy drain ready to steal mana for yourself or have a mana potion ready, this way you will be able to cast disrupt and Spell Curse after.
Summary: If you know how to use how to use your offense then you'll pretty much know how to use the Warlock as he will essentially be a mini Spell Bringer. The only defensive jobs you'll have to do is help the team kill early on (enjoy your high attack while it lasts) and later on help with the occasional Energy Flare. Again getting some armor doesn't hurt and you don't really need mana potions if you save Energy Drain so you can use it after wards to replenish your mana. Just be smart with your offense as it's your job to kill the enemy team because the Warlock is a burden to the defense of your own side.
