I think I seen this somewhere on the mtguide but I can't remember exactly where.
So why not get videos of heros soloing up until level 10 or so. (in each play style(ex. Offensive, Defensive)) I think that would really help out. We could also type out why we get what we get, and why not to get stuff (like gleamings on grake...). Then give them a suggested item list for later.

Then give them a suggested item list for later. it's not realistic, cause u got all gold, and the strategy is different from soloing to cooperating with poeple. when u solo, u can get lv10 b4 1st invisible eh? u also can get elven faster too. i think it's more useful to tell ppl when u cooperation with ppl and they are not pooling, what items u get with progression. someone might argue not pooling is not team play, well, but that's the reality in pub games I dont think the purpose of this guide makes people blindly follow what it suggests here, you should always doubt everything you read from internet before you try it out. The fun part is you buy different items/use different strategies with one hero in different situations. smart people shouldn't blindly believe what this guide says so you might find a new strategy for a hero.

You're right. And on the forums... you're somebody nuthin/nuthinclone/insert random name should meet. Seriosly.
Well then find a team of three players, and then each pick a way to do it. This way it will make getting all the heros done 4x faster. This way you can get the items you need, realistically in a pub game. Anyways the MT guide is balanced for 4v4 normal and including full teamwork.
I think I've just come to a stunning conclusion about nuthins new identity, although I have to do some research on it first.

hmm... what if we did videos for hero combos? If we could get 3 or 5 players rounded up we can do 3v3 and 4v4 hero combos, that way we have HOW the hero is played, WHAT it should get, and WHEN to use abilities.
With good, decent, expierenced players who know how to play (like pooling and evading stuns) it should be easy to do.

Its a good idea if all players agree to put the replay for public access
BTW replay has a disadvantage! the replays saved by older version cant be played by newer version of WC3!!!
that would be a pain!

so, i've given it some thought, and I really want to do this. I'm going to bring this up on the forums too, because it' will be seen by more people.
Also, how long does it take to update wc3? like 6-7 months? It wouldnt be that bad doing it, don't you think so?
If they're are any people who want to help contribute to this, please send me a message, and I'm sure we'll be able to set something up.

ok i talked this with marx and he reminds me that he/mort knows some program can record the whole game into mpeg files
like the creepwall video file
so this will solve the problem i mentioned above.
and u can further convert mpeg files to flv and upload it to youtube(i am not quite familiar with youtube, so dont take my words of it)
i dont know how long a video file can be kept on the youtube but it's definitely longer than rapidshare / badongo the better part is ppl can watch it online.

Actually if someone want to make a replay/video and have it uploaded, at a safe place, i have a webspace with at least 3GB free space, however it has to be at least a decent replay/video to be added. And i too would prefer videos as replays get's hard to watch when wc3 is updated, however replays is almost more useful for everyone as you can use it to get out more information on smaller space than on a video.

Google mediafire lol. There is ur hosting site.. Now to get the players... Edit: And heres how you get your video file ^_^ www.fraps.com/So. Basically this program will just turn the game into a video. Convenient huh? Edit: (Again) this is much better than a replay, and you can see the mouse movements / what the player is looking at, how he spells.. etc

the reason i recommand youtube over other online file storage services is: they can just watch it from the website or u can fit the youtube files bewteen the guide of corresponding hero in the forum(they provide some script to do this after u upload ur video file)like u see in the most of the blogs ppl can watch it while reading the guide of the hero Just a thought

However, if youuse fraps, you'll need to convert the video, it will be to big if you record a whole game.

you can always compress the file to lower resolution in order to reduce the file size however keep in mind that the original files will be huge! compressing process is time-consuming too!

u can set it b4 u record it? If so, its good
the other thing i am worried about is most of the youtube files have poor quality; i mean really poor Not sure if 640X480 is good enough or not.........(lower than this is not quite watchable IMO) I wonder if there are some High Definition version of Youtube websites ..........
well guess zig will figure it out once he make the 1st video:)
